Vikings roster moves, injury updates: Christian Darrisaw, Jalen Nailor, more
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Vikings star left tackle Christian Darrisaw has been downgraded to questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons due to a groin injury, the team announced on Saturday. He was added to the injury report on Friday but still listed as a full participant in practice.

Darrisaw, who has emerged as a dominant force over the past two seasons, is currently PFF's second highest-graded offensive lineman in the league, trailing only the Eagles' Jordan Mailata. It would be a big blow for the Vikings and rookie QB Jaren Hall — who is making his first NFL start — if they're without their ultra-reliable left tackle. David Quessenberry is the backup option.

The Vikings also announced several other roster moves and status updates.

  • WR Jalen Nailor has been activated to the 53-man roster from injured reserve.
  • G Chris Reed, who is on IR with a foot injury but returned to practice this week, has been downgraded to out.
  • DL T.J. Smith and LB Nick Vigil were elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's game.
  • OL Coy Cronk has been signed to the practice squad.
  • OL Henry Byrd has been released from the practice squad.

Nailor, Smith, and Vigil will all be available on special teams and as depth options. It's possible Smith could see snaps at defensive tackle with Dean Lowry out, although he's presumably behind Harrison Phillips, Jonathan Bullard, Khyiris Tonga, and Jaquelin Roy on the depth chart.

Cronk is a third-year tackle who played his college ball at Indiana and Iowa and has had NFL stints with the Packers and Jaguars.

Inactive lists will come out at 10:30 a.m. central time on Sunday.
