Nikola Jokic is ‘getting bored’ after beating LeBron James’ Lakers 11 times in a row
Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Former MVP Nikola Jokic is famous for his unique attitude about the NBA and the game of basketball. Despite his dominance on the court, the star doesn’t show much emotion when it comes to victories. Recently, the star gave another Joker classic as he revealed being bored by beating the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers’ record against the Denver Nuggets has been tragic since last year’s Western Conference finals. According to an article published by the Denver Post, Nikola Jokic admitted that getting the same result eleven times against the LeBron James-led team has been tiring.

I think it’s really hard to play against the same team over and over again. You kind of get bored with the style of the play or whatever. So you just need to — especially for us, because we won the last three — just trust what we are doing and don’t get bored with success. Because it can (go) wrong really quick  Nikola Jokic at the post-game presser

Despite being up 3-0 and repetitive wins over the Los Angeles Lakers, Jokic is not taking the series for granted. The star acknowledged the Lakers’ hot start in the first two games to alert his teammates about getting overconfident. The reigning champ’s attitude plays a huge part in the team’s success.

The Lakers star’s James and Anthony Davis‘ powerful performances are coming up short in front of the Nuggets team performances. Denver as a unit with Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, and Michael Porter Jr. taking down the Lakers’ leads to turn the result in the Nuggets’ favor.

LeBron James praised the Nuggets amidst 11 straight losses

LeBron James in his 21-year-old career has never been beaten by the same team for ten games in a row, including the Golden State Warriors. The star did not participate in one loss against Denver this season, which would have taken the number to 11.

After the third loss in the first-round matchup, James was asked in the press conference to rank the Nuggets among the toughest teams the star has faced in his career. Although the 39-year-old did not give a clear answer as they are still competing, the player had high praise for the defending champions.

This team is definitely well-equipped, well-prepared, well-coached, they do not have a weakness offensively LeBron James at the post-game presser

The Nuggets will certainly play a significant part in James’ legacy. Not just James, but the team’s success story is truly one of a kind as they won the first championship for the organization last year. With players like ex-MVP Jokic, the team is an important one in the NBA’s history.
