On Thursday evening, the 2023 NBA Draft is being held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks have agreed to a trade that will send veteran center Richaun Holmes to Dallas.
Wojnarowski's first tweet: "The Kings are trading Richaun Holmes and No. 24 to Dallas, sources tell ESPN."
Wojnarowski's second tweet: "Kings are sending Holmes into the Traded Player Exception created with the OKC trade."
This is the Mavs' second trade of the night, as they completed a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier.
This past season, Holmes saw limited playing time, but he is an underrated player who averaged 10.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest while shooting 66.6% from the field during the 2021-22 season.
