Stipe Miocic has responded to Tom Aspinall's rant.

Aspinall has taken aim at both Miocic and UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones ever since capturing interim gold. The door opened for Aspinall to take on Sergei Pavlovich for the interim title when Jones suffered an injury ahead of the planned bout with Miocic.

Since knocking Pavlovich out in the first round of their UFC 295 scrap, Tom Aspinall has slammed the UFC's decision to still go through with plans to book Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic.

Aspinall went as far as bashing Miocic for his lack of activity inside the Octagon. He also exaggerated how long it's been since Miocic won a fight, jokingly saying it's been since the October 2004 release of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas that Miocic has been waiting for a victory.

Miocic has read enough about Aspinall's complaints and he fired back on his X account.

"I have never caused a delay in the Jon fight," Miocic wrote. "Tom, once I get this win, let’s talk to unify the belt."

Miocic hasn't been inside the Octagon since March 2021 when he was knocked out by Francis Ngannou, losing the UFC Heavyweight Championship in the process. At this time, it's unknown how much longer Jones will need before the UFC can get to work on rebooking the title fight.

As for Aspinall, he'll need to decide to if he'd like to stay active in the meantime.
