He did it. Aaron Judge finally did it.
A few nights ago, the New York Yankees slugger hit his 61st home run of the season, which tied him with former Yankee Roger Maris for the most home runs hit in a single season by a batter in the American League.
On Tuesday night against the Texas Rangers, Judge broke the record he just tied and now finds himself alone on top of the American League record books.
Judge took a pitch right up the heart of the plate and ripped it 391 feet away into the left field bleachers.

What a truly historic season Judge has had. He's officially the greatest slugger in American League history, and he's easily the best home run hitter we've seen in the post-steroid era.
