The Los Angeles Dodgers, along with many other baseball teams, have bobblehead nights for their fans. One of the most anticipated nights was Thursday at Dodgers Stadium. Shohei Ohtani got his first bobblehead night as a member of the Dodgers, and fans lined up for it. It didn’t take long for the bobbleheads to show up online for sale, and some sold for some staggering amounts.

The first 40,000 fans were able to get their hands on a Shohei Ohtani bobblehead in his Los Angeles Dodgers uniform. However, some were lucky enough to get a rare chase version. Most of the giveaways had the star slugger in the white home uniform. However, 1,700 of them were a rare chase version in the away gray uniform. While the regular version is selling for hundreds, the rare chase version has sold for as much as $1,500. 

This shows the power that Shohei Ohtani has with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He is clearly the most popular player in the league right now. It is helping that he is off to a blistering start in 2024, leading the league in many batting categories. When he signed the massive $700 million contract in the offseason, many wondered whether the Dodgers would have buyer’s remorse. This has not been the case so far.

Dodgers A Lock For The World Series?

It is hard to see who will stop the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2024. The top half of the order is an absolute gauntlet to get through. While Shohei Ohtani is getting a lot of attention, Mookie Betts has been on a tear in the leadoff spot. Freddie Freeman is as consistent as ever and newly-extended catcher Will Smith has been solid as well. The scary part for the rest of the league is the team isn’t at full strength. They have many players still coming back from injury, and when they do, this team could get even better.
